Position: Res Apt Cleaner / Unit Turnover Cleaner

Status: Full Time / Part Time

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Days: Monday – Friday



Pfefferle Management is the largest commercial property management provider in Wisconsin. We manage more than two hundred commercial properties and eighty-five residential complexes throughout the state, with over 15 million square feet of real estate under our care and thousands of tenants and owners served.

Position Summary:

The Residential Apartment Cleaner does general cleaning that includes one or two residential areas. The Unit Turnover Cleaner is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and preparing residential units for new tenants after a move-out. This role ensures that each unit meets cleanliness and presentation standards to provide a welcoming environment for incoming residents. The Common Area Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of shared spaces in residential or commercial buildings. This includes lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and laundry rooms, ensuring they are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Unit Turnover Cleaner Responsibilities:

Perform deep cleaning of vacant units, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas.

Clean appliances, cabinetry (inside and out), light fixtures, baseboards, and windows.

Remove all trash and leftover items from the previous tenants.

Report any maintenance issues or damage.

Ensure units are ready on schedule for moving in.

Follow all safety protocols and cleaning procedures.

Restock cleaning supplies and notify low inventory to supervisor.

Residential Common Area Cleaner Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize all common area surfaces including floors, elevators, walls, railings, and windows.

Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures in public areas.

Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly. Inside and outside.

Refill dispensers as needed.

Report safety hazards, vandalism, or damage to management.

Clean dumpster area.

Garage area to be swept and debris pick up.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Previous experience in residential or hotel cleaning preferred.

Attention to detail and ability to follow standardized cleaning procedures.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus.

Reliability and commitment to a consistent cleaning schedule.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Technical Requirements:

Ability to use a smartphone.

Ability to use timekeeping app.

Ability to use basic cleaning equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing and moving to different areas.

Background Check Requirements:

Must pass a criminal background check.

Must have a clean driving record.
