Position Overview
Delivery drivers- customer service representatives are professionals with extensive knowledge around equipment, irrigation, and landscape assessor products who are responsible for safely operating STI vehicles while delivering products and equipment to our customers.
This position will work on the sales counter, assisting customers through the entire sales process, when not making deliveries.
Driving Duties
โ€ข Ensure every customer interaction is marked by promptness, professionalism, and precision
โ€ข Endure timely delivery and/or pickup of products and/or equipment to and from customer facility or job site
โ€ข Load and unload products and equipment
โ€ข Deliver products and equipment to customers
โ€ข Operate vehicles in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
โ€ข Maintain vehicles by conducting daily inspections for maintenance needs, licensing and registration expirations and reporting any deficiencies to the management
โ€ข Assist with warehouse duties, stocking inventory in the warehouse and in the showroom, maintaining the yard while not driving
โ€ข Establish a solid understanding of products and equipment sold at STI
Customer Service Duties
โ€ข Answer customer queries regarding our wide range of products, including equipment, landscape products, and applications
โ€ข Handle the sales processes efficiently, from order entry to inventory management, scheduling deliveries, and assisting with product pickups
โ€ข Establish and nurture transparent communication channels with internal teams, guaranteeing timely product delivery
โ€ข Work with external sales representatives to enhance growth in LPG and TCE sectors
โ€ข Play a role in keeping the branch showroom and yard tidy, organized and welcoming
Skills We Are Seeking
โ€ข Minimum of 2 years of non-commercial driving Minimum of 2 years' experience either in retail or wholesale, experience in lawn care applications, equipment, and irrigation is a plus
โ€ข Experience in driving a non-commercial truck/trailer combo is preferred but not required
โ€ข A proven aptitude for delivering top-notch customer service experiences
โ€ข A keenness to learn, adapt, and implement new technologies and mythologies
โ€ข Proficient in Office Microsoft Products
โ€ข Capable of routinely handling items weighing up to 75 pounds
โ€ข Ability to pass and maintain hiring standards for non-commercial drivers (background, MVR, drug testing, insurance standards)
โ€ข High school diploma or its equivalent is required
