Diesel Technician | $25–$40/HR + Production Bonus | Mon–Fri

Pay Rate: $25–$40/hour
Pay Type: Salary structure expressed as an hourly range
Earning Potential: Additional production bonus based on billed hours
Typical Flagged Hours: Minimum 25 billed hours per week expected

About Impact Diesel

Impact Diesel is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician in Tooele, Utah who wants to focus on diesel work, keep weekends free, and earn additional production bonuses based on billed hours.

You’ll primarily work on domestic diesel pickups, handling a mix of advanced diagnostics and hands-on repair work with workflow, estimates, and parts ordering supported by the Service Writer and General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel pickup trucks
  • Perform drivability, electrical, and diesel diagnostic work
  • Diagnose and repair SCR system concerns
  • Diagnose fuel injector concerns and replace injectors
  • Perform turbocharger repairs
  • Complete engine and transmission replacements
  • Handle a workload of approximately 25% diagnostics and 75% maintenance and repair
  • Maintain a minimum expectation of 25 billed hours per week while delivering quality work

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant technician experience
  • A-Level capability or strong B-Level experience appropriate for the work
  • Intermediate-to-advanced diesel diagnostic skills
  • Strong experience with domestic diesel vehicles
  • Experience with general diesel repair, drivability, electrical, SCR, turbocharger, fuel injector, engine, and transmission work
  • Personal tools required
  • Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) experience preferred
