Position Requirements

Able to obtain a CDL physical (to be eligible to drive a company vehicle)

Valid drivers license. No major infractions in the last 3 years

Willing to be a member of Operating Engineers union in necessary area

Willing to work beside the crew. Working foreman

Up to 100% percent travel. Depending on where you live. Most work in Midwest and Dc area. Home most weekends. Like for you to relocate to Midwest

Adapt to Midwest mole way. Our policy and procedures

Communicate with superior and customers

Able to read contract and know what our responsibilities are.

5 years tunnel experience

Proficient with basic construction math. Able to calculate grades, depths, cuts, volumes

Perform daily safety discussion with crew, weekly toolbox talks and document electronically

Electronically submit daily progress reports, receipts and other required documentation in accordance with company policy

Capabilities/Qualifications

Familiar and experienced with various tunnel Types

Rib and Board Tunnel

Liner Plate Tunnel

Steel Casing and Concrete Pipe Direct Jacking

Install Liner Plate Shafts

Install rib and board shafts

Install beam and lagging shafts

Install pit using trench boxes

Familiar with Akkerman soft ground tunnel equipment

Able to troubleshoot and repair tunnel equipment - underground

Understands basic High voltage 3 phase electricity for setup/connections

Understands tunnel lubrication for jacking operations

Able to operate TBM and Jacking System

Able to operate Large Excavators 70,000# - 110,000# - SAE Controls

Able to cut and weld & fabricate

Able to hand mine if necessary

Able to thread carrier pipe - spacers, rails, wood blocking

2 years Foreman Experience

Able to Run Robbins TBM for Rock

Able to auger bore - run boring machine and steer bore

Familiar with cellular grouting for tunnel overcut and annular space
