Job description

Title: Tumbling Instructor (Recreation Coordinator)

Reports to: Recreation Supervisor

Salary: $17-$24 per hour

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays from 5:00-8:00pm

Closing date: November 30th at 11:59pm

Job Summary: Our tumbling instructors are responsible for planning, setup, implementation, and cleanup of a successful tumbling program at EB Shurts. This position works in conjunction with a second instructor.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-season staff orientation/training program.
  • Organize and lead tumbling activities. Instructors are expected to be actively involved with the children and parents registered for class.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that provides fun, creative and safe tumbling activities for participants.
  • Responsible for the program facility and all tumbling equipment
  • Tumbling instructors are expected to complete all reports in a timely fashion, i.e. daily attendance, accident reports, requisition forms, time cards.
  • Provide first aid as needed and complete appropriate accident report.
  • Emphasize and model proper behavior in class and around tumbling equipment.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Dress appropriately when on duty.
  • Follow all City of Waukesha work rules.
  • Return all keys and required equipment at the end of the season.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16+
  • Prior experience working with children recommended.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Mature, responsible personality.
  • Ability to communicate, be courteous and cooperate with other staff members and the public.
