Core responsibilities include:

  • Have strong subject-matter knowledge and accurately answer student questions.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and constructive feedback while identifying and addressing student weaknesses.
  • Plan, prepare, rehearse, and deliver course material effectively, including competent use of training technology and equipment.
  • Teach as a primary or assistant Instructor when appropriately qualified and participate in Instructor orientation and course-material reviews.
  • Communicate clear, correct standards and practices and support continuous learning and education.
  • Promote impartiality, equal opportunity, and open communication among students.
  • Deliver engaging, clear, and concise instruction that encourages participation and independent learning.
  • Adapt communication and teaching methods to different students so information is understood.
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices and serve as a positive role model.
  • Never provide false or inaccurate information; technical questions outside the Instructor's role should be referred to the primary Instructor.
