Tugger Job Description:

Operate/Drive motorized tugger train carts to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks. Transport goods packed on pallets or in crates to designated areas safely. Ensure material is transported to correct locations. Ensure loads are secure at all times.

Tugger Job Responsibilities 

  • Safe and efficiently operation of all power operated equipment
  • Safe and efficiently movement of product; including loading and unloading trucks
  • Accurately store items in the correct place
  • Work with inventory control to ensure accuracy placement of parts
  • Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
  • Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedure
  • Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
  • Participate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable)
  • All other duties assigned

Tugger Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • Previous experience operating Tugger
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to life/move up to 35 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-life environment
  • Lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time
