Role: Tube Bending Leader
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Pottstown, PA

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tube Bending Leader to program, set up, and operate advanced BLM Group CNC tube bending machines in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in CNC tube bending, machine programming, tooling setup, troubleshooting, and team leadership while ensuring high-quality production and maximizing throughput efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation & Setup: Expertly set up and operate BLM CNC tube benders (ELECT, 3-Cnc, Smart) for left/right, fixed/variable radius, and multi-stack bending

  • Programming & Optimization: Program, edit, and optimize bending programs using BLM software to maximize efficiency and part quality while ensuring "right first time" production

  • Quality Control: Utilize All-In-One technology to compensate for material elongation and ensure finished geometries meet blueprint and tolerance specifications

  • Tooling Management: Select, install, and adjust tooling including mandrels, pressure dies, and clamps for specific tube sizes and bend radii

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and software-related machine issues

  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and support junior operators while managing shift production schedules and ensuring safety compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of high-precision tube bending experience

  • Hands-on experience operating BLM Group CNC tube bending machinery

  • Strong CNC bending setup and programming experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric tolerances

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with tooling setup including mandrels, clamps, and pressure dies

  • Experience in complex manufacturing or automotive production environments

  • Ability to lead and support production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

  • Strong attention to detail, quality control, and production accuracy
