Job description

Position Description Summary:       

The Application Developer – Senior will design, develop, sustain, and enhance software applications supporting the DLA Map Catalog program. The position will support enterprise-level application development, process automation, geospatial capabilities, system modernization, and potential online catalog development using ESRI technologies, Microsoft development tools, APIs, and DevSecOps practices.


Responsibilities:        

•         Develop software applications based on established business and functional requirements

•         Sustain and enhance the existing DLA Map Catalog version 3.x application

•         Support development of the replacement DLA Map Catalog version 4.x application

•         Develop and maintain automated data-processing workflows and geospatial processes

•         Create and integrate APIs, third-party applications, programming libraries, custom web applications, widgets, and supporting code

•         Collaborate with business analysts, systems architects, project managers, cybersecurity personnel, and Government stakeholders

•         Develop applications using Java, HTML, .NET, AngularJS, JavaScript, SOAP, REST APIs, mobile development technologies, and web-based APIs

•         Use ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Tasks, ESRI Online, Portal, and ESRI SDK technologies

•         Support Agile and hybrid low-code application development

•         Perform bug fixes, minor enhancements, testing support, installation package development, and technical documentation

•         Ensure applications comply with ATO, RMF, cybersecurity, Section 508, and other DLA regulatory requirements

•         Use Jira and DevSecOps processes to manage development activities and releases


Skills & Experience:  

•         Minimum of five years of software development experience

•         Experience developing and integrating application programming interfaces

•         Experience supporting low-code/no-code development platform models

•         Experience using business process modeling notation tools

•         Experience developing application and process automation software based on BPMN models

•         Experience with platforms such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, or comparable technologies

•         Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft .NET development environment

•         Experience with ESRI SDK for Java and .NET

•         Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, including ArcGIS Tasks

•         Experience with ESRI Online and Portal

•         Experience with Jira

•         Experience with DevSecOps

•         Experience with Agile and hybrid low-code application development

•         Knowledge of web development technologies, including Java, HTML, AngularJS, JavaScript, SOAP, REST APIs, mobile development, and web-based APIs

•         Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority


Education:      

•         Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline


Security Clearance Required:           

•         Must possess a current IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive or Tier 3 background investigation at the time of proposal submission
