Job Description

Title: Deployment Technician (1099 Contractor)

Reports To: Business Contact

ROLE SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Deployment Technician will support a hardware refresh project scheduled to begin in September 2026. This role involves traveling to DMV locations across Delaware over an estimated 4 to 6 -week period (or longer). The technician will replace outdated equipment with new hardware and run an Uber script at each site. Most of the work will be performed independently and working after hours Friday-Sunday with Go Lives on Mondays.

This is a 1099 contractor role, on call as needed. All travel expenses will be paid for, aside from, per diem.

Pay: $275.00 per day.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be available to travel throughout the state.
  • Experience running Uber scripts and familiar with imaging/reimaging.
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for various types of computers and other electronic equipment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as Microsoft Office suite, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
  • Experience documenting all levels of service activities and ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Skilled at managing inventory effectively and accurately, including experience in assisting in warehouse operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to execute work independently as well as collaborating with team members.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain necessary access and security clearances.
  • Two to five years of relevant technical experience required.
  • US Citizenship required by our client; no dual citizenship permitted.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel 100% during the duration of the project throughout the state of Delaware.
  • Overnight travel stays for multiple weeks as required by the project schedule.
  • Accurately submit travel expenses weekly.
  • Must be able to safely operate cargo vans and drive box trucks ranging from 16 ft to 26 ft in length.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • A valid and unrestricted driver's license, at the time of employment, is required.
  • No major traffic violations within the past 10 years (e.g., DUI, reckless driving, suspended license).
  • Current certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, CCNA, and other relevant certifications are highly desired.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary access and security clearances, including but not limited to State Driver’s Licenses, TSA/UEP clearances, and Federal security clearances relevant to your project.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds routinely, occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Requires long periods of driving, standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.
  • Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects as well as climb ladders.

  • Work is typically performed in a variety of office environments including exposure to heat, cold and/or air particles such as dust.
