Job description

Transactional Associate Attorney | Real Estate & Community Associations

If your ideal workday includes a scenic drive through the Rockies instead of sitting behind a desk five days a week, this opportunity offers something different.

A well-established and highly respected Colorado law firm is seeking a Transactional Associate Attorney to support a sophisticated community association practice representing clients throughout the state, including many of Colorado's premier mountain communities. This role combines transactional legal work, trusted client counseling, and the opportunity to regularly visit some of the most beautiful places in Colorado—all while being based in the Denver metro area.

Whether you're advising a mountain resort community on governance issues, negotiating agreements, or helping boards navigate complex legal matters, you'll become a trusted advisor to clients who value practical, responsive legal counsel.

What You'll Do

  • Advise homeowner and community associations on a broad range of transactional and governance matters.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, governing documents, amendments, easements, licenses, policies, resolutions, and legal opinions.
  • Interpret governing documents, Colorado statutes, case law, insurance policies, and real estate documents.
  • Provide practical legal guidance to volunteer boards and community managers.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses and recommendations.
  • Attend board meetings, annual meetings, and client events, including occasional evening meetings.
  • Build long-term client relationships through exceptional service and trusted legal counsel.
  • Participate in business development, educational seminars, and client training programs.
  • Enjoy regular travel throughout Colorado, particularly to mountain communities, with opportunities for rewarding day trips outside the Denver metro area.

What We're Looking For

  • Active Colorado law license.
  • Approximately 4-6 years of transactional and/or litigation experience with exposure to one or more of the following:
  • Real estate
  • Community association (HOA)
  • Corporate governance
  • Contract drafting and negotiatio

Why Attorneys Love This Opportunity

  • Work with sophisticated clients across Colorado.
  • Escape the office with regular trips to mountain communities while remaining based in Denver.
  • Build meaningful, long-term client relationships instead of handling one-off transactions.
  • Join a collaborative legal team with an established client base and strong reputation.
  • Diverse transactional work with plenty of client interaction and autonomy

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000-$140,000, depending on experience.
  • Excellent Benefits

If you are qualified for this position, please email your resume to Director, mala.saraogi@roberthalf[dot][com] for immediate consideration!

• Licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Demonstrated background in corporate and real estate law, including transactional and dispute-oriented matters.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and residential real estate, contracts, acquisitions, and property transfers.
• Experience advising on zoning, planning, land use, or related real estate development issues.
• Ability to manage matters involving homeowner associations, covenant enforcement, and association governance concerns.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple matters effectively.
• Strong client communication skills and the ability to provide clear, business-focused legal advice.
