Toll Brothers, our nation's luxury home builder, seeks a Truss Designer for Toll Integrated Systems (TIS), our wholly-owned component manufacturing company based out of our facility in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
What is the opportunity?
This position will be on-site 5 days per week.
Utilizing house plans & designing software, create wood component designs for the manufacturing of wood building components. These designs should be created with the intention of repeated use within the Toll Brothers home building operations.
What are the primary responsibilities?
  • Review house orders & determine what design requirements are needed
  • Read & interpret architectural plans
  • Draw houses in design engineering software
  • Create accurate bill of materials for wall panels & trusses
  • Maintain existing product information
  • Cooperate with Material Estimates to supply additional material that cannot be panelized or trussed
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Does this describe you?
  • Familiarity with MiTek, Alpine, or Simpson truss design software
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite products
  • Experience communicating with team members
  • Mandatory overtime in busy season

Do you have these qualifications?
  • Essential:
    • Truss and/or wall panel design certification on any Design for manufacturing software
  • Preferred:
    • Associate degree or equivalent vocational or technical certification
    • 3- 6 years of experience in production engineering
