Join a Growing Engineering Team

Apex Technology is seeking a Truss Designer with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in component design who is looking to continue developing their technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of residential construction projects.

As a Truss Designer II, you will produce accurate, efficient truss designs and construction documents while supporting customers, project teams, and manufacturing operations. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design residential roof and floor truss systems using Alpine software.
  • Produce accurate construction documents and component layouts.
  • Manage assigned design projects from initial request through completion.
  • Track project progress and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding project requirements, schedules, and design revisions.
  • Support assigned customer accounts by providing responsive, high-quality service.
  • Review designs for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining company quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
