Action Group is a metal fabricator in Blacklick, servicing a wide range of industries. We are expanding and looking for 1 dedicated individual to join our team working in a job shop facility currently enjoying a 4-day work week: Monday thru Thursday. This opening is for the 2nd shift (3:30PM to 2:00 AM). Overtime opportunities are available in most departments. Action Group is a full-service fabricating company.

Job Description:

I am looking for someone who is committed to learning a trade and has mechanical aptitude for running and maintaining the laser!

If you are an experienced laser operator who can bring a strong work ethic and dedication to quality we would like to speak with you. In this role, your responsibility will be to independently set up and run  TRUMPF laser equipment.

Job Summary

  • Set up and run flat or tube laser
  • Review drawings to ensure parts are processed correctly
  • Material handling (loading and unloading of material)
  • Sort and finish cut parts (remove tabs/burrs, etc.)
  • Accurately count, tag, and route parts to the next operation
  • Record work order data into our paperless system

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read and comprehend part documentation (blue prints, tolerances, inspection criteria)
  • Ability to use standard measuring devices (caliper, tape measure, etc.)
  • Must be able to move and lift 50 lbs
  • Complete operating and safety training on material handling equipment (overhead crane, etc.)
