Job Description
The Systems Analyst /Telecomm (SA) position is in existence to address the Company's enterprise data and insure of its accuracy as well as the coordination of data between the ERP system, WoodWare (WW) and our external Sales system, 2G. In addition, the person will help support our Telecommunication infrastructure. The SA should have a working knowledge or the company's ERP systems, WoodWare, Warehouse Management, and Edgenet. The SA is responsible for coordinating changes from vendors as well as changes to data between the ERP and external systems. In addition, the SA should work with users to train them in navigation of the systems and develop "super users" throughout the company. The SA Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. The person will also be required to work with Cisco switching, routing, wireless and security devices, including deployment, configuration and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintain Woodware on a daily basis to add/change/delete products and fields as the business requires
• A thorough understanding of XML. Being able to create XML to interface our systems with our customers. Knowledge of XSD and XSLT helpful.
• Possess a well-rounded knowledge of MS SQL Server - including SQL Server administration and maintenance, and must perform SQL data queries and updates using both DDL and DML vocabularies.
• A basic knowledge of Linux system administration - such as configuring, stopping and starting Linux services.
• Comfort with Linux command line basics - moving, copying and editing files and directories. Some basic knowledge of linux command line utilities such as tar and grep are helpful.
• Basic Windows Server administration skills such as installing applications, configuring, starting and stopping services, finding and utilizing log files to troubleshoot applications.
• Knowledge of high level programming or scripting language (C, C++, C#, Java, VB.Net, Python - Java preferred).
• Ability to administer web applications on both Windows (such as ASP.Net) and Linux (Apache/Tomcat) helpful.
• Knowledge of WW interface to perform item table, category table, and
• Administration of Subversion (version control) server and client software (needed infrequently).
• Resolve Help Desk tickets for system issues
• Create custom reports using Crystal Reports required for the business
• Understand and document for users ODBC connections within the ERP system
• Coordinate, prioritize, and maintain all EDI exchanges with customers and vendors using TrueCommerce
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues between the WoodWare ERP or the Warehouse Management System and 2G
• Working knowledge of Cisco switching, routing, wireless and security devices, including deployment, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of CUCM, CUC, CCX, and CallReplay, both management and administration.
• Working knowledge of Cisco Collaboration services, including Telepresence, WebEx, CMR and Jabber.
• Participate in after-hours support
• Work in a consultative fashion with all co-workers as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness in support of the company's culture, mission and values
• Ensure the security and protection of corporate information systems and equipment; align IT risk management initiatives and lead all disaster recovery plans
• Coordinate all vendor upgrades with the various user communities
• Ensure there is sufficient backup knowledge and documented procedures for changes in the systems
• Act as a representative of Reeb to influence vendors software improvement aligned with Reeb initiatives
• Develop processes to monitor all MIS related projects or functions, report status on a consistent basis to allow MIS and clients to gauge effectiveness. Contribute to the continuity of computer services by providing necessary technical leadership and project coordination.
• Be part of a team that redesigns workflow to better utilize resources
• Develop and maintain effective business and team relationships with all employees, customers and management especially between client MIS representatives, and MIS services.
• Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field, plus 5 years related experience in all aspects of Information Technology (application development & support, network, user support, project planning, etc.), with at least three years in working in a IT Data management responsibility.
Computer Skills
• UNIX and Linux Operating Systems
• A thorough understanding of XML. Knowledge of XSD and XSLT helpful.
• One year or more experience with MS SQL Server - including SQL Server administration
• A basic knowledge of Linux system administration - such as configuring, stopping and starting Linux services.
