Many organizations divide these responsibilities across multiple functions; at TP-Link Systems, Product Managers are empowered with broad ownership and decision‑making responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy, roadmap planning, and execution of consumer home networking products across multiple categories, including Mesh systems, Routers, Accessories, Extenders, Portable Wi‑Fi solutions, and Broadband Access Gateways
  • Own the full product development lifecycle from concept and product definition through launch, shipment, and post‑launch optimization
  • Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), feature strategies, pricing recommendations, and business cases for hardware, firmware, mobile app, and cloud‑connected product experiences
  • Conduct industry‑wide competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and product opportunities
  • Identify real consumer pain points and define product solutions that balance technical feasibility, user experience, and business objectives
  • Define go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies, target markets, feature positioning, and competitive differentiation for product lines
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and QA teams to communicate product requirements, evaluate technical tradeoffs, prioritize features, and drive product decisions
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration with PMO, manufacturing, industrial design, supply chain, vendors, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product delivery and launch execution
  • Evangelize product strategies, new technologies, and feature innovations to internal stakeholders, sales teams, partners, and customers
  • Drive innovation initiatives involving emerging technologies such as AI integrations and next‑generation wireless networking standards, including Wi‑Fi 8
  • Make product decisions related to performance, security, usability, launch readiness, and feature prioritization based on market intelligence and customer insights
  • Analyze customer feedback, market dynamics, and product performance data to continuously improve product experiences and business outcomes
  • Mentor or guide junior product managers and contribute to best practices within the product organization
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of product management experience within consumer home networking, connected devices, smart home, or related technology industries; 6+ years preferred
  • Proven experience owning hardware‑related product lines and managing products through the complete product development lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of consumer home networking technologies, including routers, mesh systems, wireless standards, cloud‑connected ecosystems, and mobile app integrations
  • Demonstrated experience writing detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and driving execution across cross‑functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with experience building product roadmaps, defining GTM strategies, pricing recommendations, and identifying target markets
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging technologies within consumer networking markets
  • Experience leading cross‑functional collaboration across R&D, QA, PMO, manufacturing, industrial design, supply chain, vendors, sales, and marketing stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence leadership teams, customers, and sales organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and make high‑impact product decisions in fast‑paced environments
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills with a customer‑focused mindset
  • Demonstrated innovation experience within networking or connected device ecosystems; candidates discussing AI‑related initiatives should be able to provide concrete examples of AI integration into networking or consumer technology products
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior, market positioning, and sales‑driven product strategy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing AI‑enabled networking features or integrating AI technologies into consumer networking products
  • Experience launching large‑scale consumer networking products with global market reach
  • Familiarity with firmware, mobile applications, and cloud service integrations within connected ecosystems
  • Experience supporting next‑generation wireless technologies such as Wi‑Fi 7 or Wi‑Fi 8
  • Background working in highly collaborative global product development organizations
  • Passion for connected home technologies and delivering innovative customer experiences

Salary Range: $160,000-$200,000

  • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (partial premium coverage for dependents)
  • Employer quarterly contributions to 401k funds
  • 15 days accrued vacation
