We are seeking a dependable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring on-time deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role is critical to maintaining our supply chain, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and prioritizes safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A required) to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload cargo using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently to optimize time and fuel use.
- Ensure the safety and security of all cargo during transport.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of working hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections using electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Perform basic truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all road users.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Class A) and TWIC card for port.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and other navigation tools.
