Position: Troegs Brewery Ambassador

Job Classification: Part-time

Reports to: Area Sales Manager

Rate: Hourly, based on experience

Hours: Varied, primarily Thursday/Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays

Location: Philadelphia Area - Chester, Montgomery, Berks, LHV and Bucks. Must live in one of these areas.

Job Description:

Create memories with Troegs fans and new friends at beer festivals, tastings, large-scale branded events and retailer samplings at independent distributors, bottle shops and grocery stores in the Philadelphia area, specifically, Chester, Montgomery, Berks, LHV, and Bucks. Must live in one of these areas to be considered for position.  Ideal candidates will have a drive to sell beer and grow the awareness of Troegs. Troegs Brewery Ambassadors will share the love of Troegs out in the Philadelphia markets and have the opportunity to learn and represent our sales and marketing initiatives. Each Ambassador can expect to work a minimum of 10 events per year which includes a minimum of 1 retailer sampling per quarter.


Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

Festivals, PR & Large-scale events

Responsibly serve Troegs beer based on guidelines for each event

Share the Troegs story, and answer questions about the brewery and the beer

Assist with registration and general event logistics

Set up and tear down according to brand guidelines

Travel required, primarily in the Philadelphia area


Retailer samplings

Sample featured beer to shoppers (21+), highlighting taste notes, location and pricing of beer at retailer

Primary goal is to sell beer while sampling and communicating our story to customers

Gather data relating to pricing, displays, shelf sets, shoppers and beer sold

Submit data via email to Area Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager

Participate in quarterly knowledge sessions with Troegs Sales and Marketing representatives

Key areas include but are not limited to Philadelphia County, Bucks County, Chester County, LHV, Delaware County, Montgomery County, and Berks County.

We are able to offer more retailer sampling hours to candidates with extended availability. If interested in doing more events and retailer samplings than the minimum, please indicate availability in your cover letter.


Physical functions

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and walk constantly for long periods of time - up to 8 hours

Ability to safely navigate crowded spaces, wet/slippery floors, and/or stairs

Ability to occasionally lift, carry and maneuver cases of beer weighing up to 35 lbs and kegs weighing up to 165 lbs. with the assistance of another co-worker

Available to work evenings, weekends and select holidays


Qualifications

A love of craft beer and an understanding of brewing and beer styles

Outstanding communication skills and thorough attention to detail

Ambitious, energetic, able to work independently and eager to learn

A clean and orderly appearance at all times

Must maintain a functional vehicle and a driver's license with NO DUI's

Must be 21+ and apply all guidelines for responsible alcohol service (RAMP trained)

RAMP certification is preferred or will be provided by the brewery

Previous customer service / sales /event experience preferred
