Job description

At a glance

Company: Triumph Group
Location: North Wales, Pennsylvania
Pay: $29.85–$42.00/hr DOE
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
Experience: Experienced CNC Machinist
Machines: Haas UMC-500 5-Axis Mill • Haas ST-30Y CNC Lathe • Manual Mills & Lathes
Controls: Haas
CAM Software: Autodesk Fusion 360

Why join Triumph Group?

If you’re a skilled CNC machinist who likes doing more than loading parts and pushing cycle start, this is a strong opportunity.

Triumph Group’s North Wales facility manufactures highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical components used in aerospace applications. The machine shop is a smaller, skilled team inside a much larger aerospace organization, giving machinists the opportunity to work on a wide variety of parts without feeling like just another number.

You’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled 75,000 sq. ft. facility with a mix of modern Haas CNC equipment and manual machines. The work is high-mix and low-volume, so setups change and machining challenges vary.

Most importantly, you do not need to be a CNC programmer to qualify. Triumph is looking first and foremost for someone who is strong at CNC setup and operation. If you can also program in Fusion 360, that’s a plus.

The position also offers a four-day workweek, optional Friday overtime, pension, 401(k), and annual union wage increases.

⚙️ What you'll be doing

  • Set up and operate Haas CNC mills and turning centers
  • Run high-mix, low-volume aerospace components
  • Select tooling and establish machine setups
  • Determine appropriate workholding and setup strategies
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and prints
  • Make offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues
  • Work closely with Engineering when programming support is needed
  • Operate manual Bridgeport mills and engine lathes as needed
  • Program CNC equipment when capable — programming is a plus, not a requirement

For machinists with programming experience, there is an opportunity to take parts from print or CAD model through programming, tooling, setup, and production.

️ Machines, controls & software

CNC Milling: Haas UMC-500 5-Axis Mill
CNC Turning: Haas ST-30Y Turning Center with Live Tooling
Manual Equipment: Bridgeport Mills • Engine Lathes
Controls: Haas
CAM Software: Autodesk Fusion 360

⭐ Shop highlights

  • $29.85–$42.00/hr union pay range
  • Strong candidates can start toward the upper end of the range
  • Monday–Thursday 4x10 schedule
  • Optional Friday overtime
  • Clean, climate-controlled facility
  • High-mix, low-volume machining
  • Modern Haas 5-axis and live-tooling equipment
  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • AS9100 Rev D / ISO 9001:2015
  • Small, skilled machine shop team

✅ What we're looking for

Required

  • Strong CNC machining experience
  • CNC machine setup experience
  • Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment
  • Strong tooling and workholding knowledge
  • Ability to read machining prints and drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues
  • Comfortable working in a high-mix manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Haas CNC experience
  • 5-axis milling experience
  • CNC turning/live-tooling experience
  • Autodesk Fusion 360 experience
  • CNC programming experience
  • Manual milling or turning experience
  • Aerospace machining experience

Programming is preferred, but not required. A strong setup machinist who can independently set up and operate the equipment is encouraged to apply.

Why you'll like working here

You’ll have variety.

This isn’t a repetitive production environment where you run the same part every day. Triumph manufactures a wide range of components, giving experienced machinists the chance to apply their setup, tooling, troubleshooting, and machining knowledge.

You’ll also get a four-day workweek, optional overtime, a clean climate-controlled shop, and the stability and benefits of an established aerospace manufacturer.

Pay, benefits & schedule

Pay:
$29.85–$42.00/hr DOE

Triumph has flexibility to bring experienced candidates in toward the higher end of the range.

Benefits:

  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Pension program
  • PTO accrued beginning Day 1
  • Two weeks PTO during the first year
  • Annual union wage increases on your anniversary date

Schedule:
Monday–Thursday
6:00 AM–4:00 PM
Four 10-hour shifts
Paid breaks
Optional Friday overtime
