• Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients to facilitate open communication and therapeutic progress.
• Diagnose mental health disorders using established clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate the client’s personal and familial contexts.
• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques to meet the diverse needs of the clients you serve.
• Monitor client progress through ongoing assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, referring clients to specialized services when needed, and ensuring a comprehensive approach to their mental health care.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in an electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.

You will engage with a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families dealing with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and trauma. Your role will be instrumental in creating a safe space where clients can explore their feelings and develop coping strategies. By employing culturally competent approaches, you'll ensure that therapy is inclusive and effective for every client, contributing to stronger family dynamics and overall community health.

• Active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Maryland is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is necessary for this role.
• Proficiency in conducting individual and group therapy sessions, with a strong focus on client-centered approaches.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to efficiently manage a caseload while maintaining high standards of care.

• Experience in a community health clinic setting is highly desirable, as it provides valuable insights into serving a diverse population.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health record (EHR) systems will enhance your effectiveness in this remote role.
• Specialized training in areas such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or family systems therapy is a plus.
