Description of Position
Full time position in Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI), based in Taunton, MA. Work as member of multi-disciplinary team. The MCI delivers high quality, culturally competent, community-based behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization services that promote resiliency and recovery. The Triage position is responsible for the smooth functioning of daily MCI operations, in charge of answering calls, providing phone support, completing referrals and prioritizing the use of clinicians and other resources. Serves as liaison with related systems and provides support and information to callers.
Job responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency phone calls offering phone triage and area resources as appropriate. The call center supports the resiliency, wellness, and recovery of all Members to whom it provides services and integrates mental health, substance use disorder, and wellness and recovery principles and practices across the service delivery model.
  • Verify client insurance coverage
  • Assist with phone calls, evaluation requests and report back to the program director/supervisor on site or AOC
  • Assist in linking and referring families to appropriate services along the continuum of care.
  • Execute bed searches for clients awaiting placement
  • Update tracking of pending and boarding cases as evaluation requests and dispositions unfold
  • Assist the call center as needs arise or as requested by a supervisor
  • Complete required program documentation, forms and mandated reports
  • Maintain appropriate internal collaboration with co-workers
  • Attend all necessary meetings, supervision and trainings deemed appropriate by management level staff
  • Consider all ethical and legal parameters when providing above named services and seek consultation when parameters are unclear
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or closely related discipline
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment handling clients in crisis

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
