Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy Center
Holly Springs, NC | In-Office

Support exceptional patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment.
 

Raleigh Medical Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center team. This role provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing GI procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, procedural support, moderate sedation monitoring, post-procedure recovery, patient education, and discharge coordination.

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care while supporting physicians and clinical teams in a collaborative outpatient endoscopy setting. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Performs pre-procedure patient assessments including review of medical history, medications, allergies, bowel preparation status, and sedation readiness
  • Assists physicians and healthcare providers during GI procedures and minor medical procedures
  • Monitors patients during moderate sedation procedures and responds appropriately to adverse reactions or complications
  • Provides post-procedure recovery care including vital sign monitoring, pain assessment, discharge readiness, and patient education
  • Administers medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Educates patients and caregivers regarding procedure preparation, recovery expectations, medications, and follow-up care
  • Participates in infection prevention, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
  • Responds appropriately to medical emergencies and initiates emergency protocols as needed
  • Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and organizational policies
  • Collaborates effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical support staff
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Current North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience
  • Experience utlizing electronic health record (EHR systems
  • Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills
  • Excellent comminication, critical thinking, and organizational skills

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Previous experience in endoscopy, procedural nursing, ambulatory surgery, PACU, ICU, or critical care preferred.
  • Experience with moderate sedation recovery and patient monitoring preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to assist with repositioning, transferring, and ambulating patients safely
  • Fine motor skills and visual acuity required
  • Occasional lifting and moving more than 100 pounds with assistance
