We partner with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, dialysis providers, assisted living communities, and other healthcare organizations to deliver safe, reliable, and timely transportation that helps patients access the care they need. We also provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services, allowing us to serve both scheduled transportation and emergency medical needs throughout the communities we serve.

Position Summary:

Tri-State Medical Group is seeking an experienced Regional Healthcare Sales Manager to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing healthcare partnerships throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

This is a field-based sales position requiring regular travel throughout the assigned territory. The Regional Healthcare Sales Manager is expected to spend the majority of the workweek visiting hospitals, healthcare facilities, physician offices, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, dialysis providers, assisted living communities, and other referral sources. Success in this role depends on building relationships through consistent face-to-face interaction, business development, and account management. This is not a remote or work-from-home sales position.

The successful candidate will identify new opportunities, negotiate service agreements, expand existing accounts, increase volume, and work toward established business development, territory growth, and revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage relationships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, referral partners, and key decision-makers throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Identify, prospect, and secure new transportation contracts with hospitals, discharge planning teams, rehabilitation centers, dialysis providers, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physician practices, and other healthcare organizations.

Lead the RFP process, including planning, proposal development, coordination, and submission for strategic opportunities.

Meet or exceed established goals for new business development, contract growth, volume, and territory expansion.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with hospital administrators, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, nursing staff, referral coordinators, and other healthcare professionals.

Conduct regular in-person facility visits, presentations, business meetings, and contract negotiations.

Expand existing accounts by increasing volume and identifying additional service opportunities.

Research insurance carriers, managed care organizations, and broker networks that oversee NEMT services, and assist with provider enrollment and contracting opportunities.

Work closely with leadership to identify growth opportunities and execute territory development strategies.

Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and pipeline reporting within Salesforce, and provide regular updates to leadership.

Marketing & Brand Representation

Represent Tri-State Medical Group and its operating divisions professionally throughout the healthcare community.

Develop relationships that strengthen the company's reputation and create new business opportunities.

Manage the digital presence of Tri-State Medical Group and its operating divisions by working with leadership to keep websites, social media, and online marketing current while supporting business development and brand awareness.

Represent the company at networking events, healthcare conferences, and community outreach activities to increase visibility and support continued growth.

Performance Expectations (First 6-12 Months)

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified healthcare opportunities.

Develop relationships with key decision-makers throughout the assigned territory.

Conduct consistent in-person visits with hospitals, healthcare facilities, and referral partners.

Secure new transportation contracts and referral partnerships.

Increase trip volume and business from existing accounts.

Meet or exceed revenue and territory growth goals established by leadership.

Maintain accurate CRM activity, sales reporting, and pipeline forecasting.

Strengthen the company's market presence throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

Three to five years of successful experience in healthcare sales, business development, account management, or healthcare partnerships.

Strong understanding of medical transportation, NEMT, healthcare operations, or related healthcare services preferred.

Experience developing business with hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, dialysis providers, physician offices, case managers, discharge planners, or insurance organizations.

Experience managing or supporting contract proposals, RFP submissions, and business development opportunities is preferred.

Experience supporting marketing initiatives, digital presence, or brand awareness efforts is a plus.

Proven ability to build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Experience using CRM software, preferably Salesforce.

Hiring Process

As part of our hiring process, candidates will be required to:

Complete an initial prescreen interview, either in person or virtually (camera must be on for virtual interviews)

Complete the Sales & Client Interaction Assessment.

Submit three professional references, including:

Two former supervisors or managers.

One professional peer or former customer/client.

Candidates selected to move forward should expect a minimum of three interview rounds as part of the hiring process.

Compensation

Base Salary: $85,000–$95,000, based on experience.

Performance-Based Commission: Commission structure tied to new business development, contract growth, and territory performance.

Total Compensation: This is a $100,000+ earning opportunity for individuals who successfully achieve business development, revenue, and territory growth objectives.
