CDL Class A Driver – Lowboy/Walking Floor (Mulch Hauler)- IN
Position: CDL Class A Driver – Lowboy/Walking Floor (Mulch Hauler) – Full Time
Department: Homer Tree Service, Inc – ANDERSON, IN
Job Summary: The CDL Class A Driver – Lowboy/Walking Floor (Mulch Hauler) is a highly motivated and experienced driver that is detail oriented, has strong communication skills, and is willing to work as a team. Must have experience with lowboys and walking floors, as well as manual transmissions, double axels and longer trailers. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with Supervisors, coworkers and customers.
Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Safely transports heavy machinery, oversized loads, and specialized equipment using a lowboy trailer
  • Safely transports material using walking/live floor trailers
  • Transports materials from place of origin to assigned destination
  • Obeys all local, State, Federal and IDOT regulations
  • Inspects truck and equipment before leaving and after arriving at locations
  • Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
  • Follow all Homer Tree Service Procedures and Safety Standards
  • Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Maintain a clean truck, equipment or machinery
  • Assist in loading and unloading of materials
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a team
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective Communication with supervisors and coworkers
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Crew Leader
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Indiana Class-A CDL with air brake endorsement.
  • Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience as a CDL driver
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Clean background check and drug test
  • Experience in lowboys and walking/live floors, manual transmissions, double axles
  • OSHA familiarity/training
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Diligent attention to detail and safety
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer orientation

  • Pay Range: $25-$30/hr
  • Pay is determined by experience, skill, education, and other factors
