Job description

We are seeking a Traveling Bridge Laborer to support bridge and structural concrete construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting with a variety of general labor tasks including material handling, site preparation, assisting carpenters, and supporting forming, pouring, and cleanup activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in heavy civil construction, be comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions, and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.
Responsibilities
  • Assist bridge carpenters and operators with construction of bridge decks, walls, columns, caps, footings, and other structural components
  • Perform general labor duties such as shoveling, raking, lifting, carrying materials, and jobsite cleanup
  • Support the installation and removal of concrete forms and falsework
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in construction, heavy civil, bridge work, general labor or related industry preferred
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
