American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon.

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a NICU position at a children's hospital in Oregon, requiring prior travel experience and NRP certification on a night shift schedule.

Details
  • NICU position within a children's hospital setting
  • Patient population includes infants under one year of age
  • Floating required within scope of competency to PICU, Pediatric Acute Care (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow — refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
  • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Weekend requirement: 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays per 6-week schedule period
  • Holiday coverage required for at least one holiday: July 4th or Labor Day
  • No on-call requirements
  • Charting via Epic
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Requirements
  • Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending license accepted with proof of OR license application and fingerprints
  • Current certifications: BLS and NRP
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy Health facility
Additional Information
  • Legacy Health expects travelers to float within a site and across the system within the scope of their competency
  • Any education assigned by the facility must be completed within one week of the assignment start
  • Scrubs may be any color except black or camouflage
  • RTO must be finalized and submitted prior to consideration; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment, and no more than 7 days of RTO total per assignment
  • COVID vaccination card required with no exemptions accepted
