Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a NICU position at a children's hospital in Oregon, requiring prior travel experience and NRP certification on a night shift schedule.
Details
- NICU position within a children's hospital setting
- Patient population includes infants under one year of age
- Floating required within scope of competency to PICU, Pediatric Acute Care (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow — refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Weekend requirement: 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays per 6-week schedule period
- Holiday coverage required for at least one holiday: July 4th or Labor Day
- No on-call requirements
- Charting via Epic
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Requirements
- Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending license accepted with proof of OR license application and fingerprints
- Current certifications: BLS and NRP
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy Health facility
Additional Information
- Legacy Health expects travelers to float within a site and across the system within the scope of their competency
- Any education assigned by the facility must be completed within one week of the assignment start
- Scrubs may be any color except black or camouflage
- RTO must be finalized and submitted prior to consideration; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment, and no more than 7 days of RTO total per assignment
- COVID vaccination card required with no exemptions accepted
