Job description

Specialty Traveler Registered Nurse – Gastroenterology

Schedule: 5-8 hours day shifts, Monday - Friday. No call. No weekends.

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. Active state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing. 2 years of specific GI RN experience. BLS Certification through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date. Previous RN Clinic/Ambulatory Care experience. Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with gastroenterology-related conditions. Assist in the management and coordination of patient care in a clinic setting. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Monitor patient progress and document findings in electronic medical records. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and guidelines.

Compliance / Notes: 1) RADIUS RULE: Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility. 2) CAPS Requirement: Apply as soon as possible to obtain credentials. 3) Ensure correct SS# and DOB in Medefis to avoid IT/onboarding issues. 4) Guaranteed hours will not apply on holidays for clinic workers.
