Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Specialist for an Invasive Heart & Vascular unit, requiring RCIS, RRT, or RDCS certification and at least 1 year of invasive procedure experience.

Details
  • Hospital-based invasive heart and vascular cath lab setting
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on rotating days of the week
  • 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
  • On-call required 1-2 weeknights per week and every 3rd weekend
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in invasive procedures, or 2 years of relevant healthcare experience
  • Associate's degree or graduation from a cardiovascular-related program required
  • Required certification: RCIS, RRT, or RDCS
  • Preferred certifications: ACLS, ARRT
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, and regulatory guidelines
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data collection and drawing valid conclusions
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • Documents patient history and physical assessments prior to cath lab procedures
  • Explains procedures and treatments to patients to promote understanding and reduce apprehension
  • Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system (angiocardiograms)
  • Operates multichannel physiologic monitors to measure and record cardiovascular and pulmonary function during cardiac catheterization
  • Observes patients and communicates significant conditions, reactions, and responses to medications or treatments with the attending physician
  • Assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Complies with departmental, hospital, and regulatory policies and procedures
  • Two professional references required for consideration
