Job description

Overview

The Cardiovascular Specialist, TS assists physicians in performing a variety of invasive cardiac, electrophysiology and vascular procedures. The Cardiovascular Specialist, TS also cares for patients before and after procedures in the holding area, schedules procedures, coordinates patient care with physicians and staff, and performs duties for the Invasive Cardiology department as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or board coordinator.

Registered Technologist for Radiography Required - Or Registered Respiratory Therapist Required - Or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required - Or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Required

Education

Associate's Degree Radiologic Technology Required - Or Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required - Or Associate's Degree Allied Health Required - Or Graduate Cardiovascular Sonography Required - Or Graduate Paramedic Required

Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant cardiovascular experience in a Cath Lab and/or Hybrid OR setting
  • RCIS and/or RT(R) license required
  • BLS Required; ACLS preferred.
  • We are willing to consider a first-time traveler if the candidate is RCIS credentialed
  • Candidate must be able to independently scrub peripheral angiography/intervention and EVAR procedures
  • This will be ascrub-only or circulator role; the individual will not be expected or required to administer conscious sedation or document.
  • Experience with Siemens imaging systems is preferred, but not required.
