Traveling Phlebotomist

By investing in technology and a skilled work force, we can offer a superior program focused on serving the long-term care industry.

AHA has an exciting opportunity for reliable, dedicated, and experienced Traveling Phlebotomist to assist with lab collections in the long-term care industry. Candidates must be comfortable drawing blood and traveling to any of AHA's locations in the U.S.; 100% travel is required in this position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Travel to various AHA locations throughout the U.S. and assist the local AHA team with lab collections in the long-term care industry.

Obtains the proper specimen for test(s) ordered.

Properly labels all specimens.

Follow all AHA phlebotomy procedures and policies.

Submitting accurate payroll time sheets and work/travel mileage logs to supervisor.

Picking-up other specimens from facilities in assigned Route.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Knows, understands, and adheres to all laboratory, client facility and/or OSHA safety standards.

Maintains proper inventory of phlebotomy supplies.

Correctly processes Requisitions which include initialing, recording tubes drawn, recording time/date/location of patient drawn, safely transporting collected specimens timely, and placing specimens to the designated location.

BENEFITS/PERKS:

Full-time employees are eligible for group health insurance, after completion of the waiting period.

Flight(s), Rental Car(s), Lodging reservations booked and paid for by company.

Daily meal allowance reimbursed by AHA's Corporate Travel Policy.

HOURLY PAY: Up to $25 hour

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Flexibility to work long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes, required.

Phlebotomy work experience: 2 years, required.

Phlebotomy Certification, preferred.

Willingness to travel: 100% required.

Excellent customer service experience, effective written and verbal communication, and public relations skills are required.

A current, valid driver's license, at least 21-years of age, and good driving records 5+ years, required.

Must possess a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE!

AHA Florida and Michigan locations: Level 2 Fingerprinting, required.
