Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3x12 Nights, Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday
Charting System: Cerner
Float Required: Yes – Within hospital, within scope
Note: First-time travelers accepted with 3 years of ED experience.Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $ 2,401.20 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $ 576.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $ 1,825.20 Per Week

Position Overview:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides rapid, comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages in a high-volume Emergency Department. The RN delivers evidence-based care for medical, surgical, trauma, stroke, behavioral health, and emergency conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job duties:

Perform rapid patient assessments, triage and prioritize emergency care, administer medications and blood products, initiate and maintain IV access, manage central and arterial lines, monitor cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, provide procedural sedation monitoring, care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, pediatric, and behavioral health patients, manage ventilated and BiPAP/CPAP patients as needed, perform phlebotomy, respond to emergency situations, maintain isolation precautions, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and accurately document patient care while ensuring compliance with emergency department protocols and patient safety standards.

Requirements:

Licensure: Active Maryland RN License or Compact RN License
Experience: Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience (2 years considered only if from a high-volume Level I or Level II Trauma Center)
Community Hospital experience required
First-time travelers accepted with 3 years of ED experience
Certifications: BLS (Required), ACLS (Required), PALS (Required), NIHSS (Required)
Other requirement: Experience with patient ratios of 1:4–6. Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood administration, central line management, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, procedural sedation, stroke care, pediatric emergencies, emergency response, isolation precautions, and behavioral health care.
Completion of 4-hour annual stroke CEUs required.
