Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

In partnership with the AVP, Emerging Talent Programs, leads in coordinating many aspects of the Travelers EDGE program. The goal of the program is to increase the number of students from local academic partners to attend college and help students graduate from college through scholarship support and academic advising, while building awareness of careers in the insurance industry. This role will support Travelers EDGE scholars.

What Will You Do?

  • Collaborates with the AVP, Emerging Talent Programs in developing and executing recruitment and program strategies and policies.
  • Screens potential candidates for the program and acts as the liaison with high school partners, college partners, and community-based organizations on recruiting plans.
  • Ensures appropriate systems are in place to attract, select, reward, train and motivate scholars.
  • Gathers internship opportunities and reviews proposed internship assignments with managers to determine if their internships are appropriate for the scholar.
  • Coordinates the planning, communication, and payroll management of the internship process.
  • Responsible for the coaching and development of scholars through their program experience, including all HR management components such as performance management.
  • Meets with external college/university partners to ensure scholars academic success and discuss program needs.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with business partners and program stakeholders (e.g. HR Business Partners and Community Relations)
  • Plans and executes events for Travelers EDGE (e.g., professional development institute, H.S. info sessions, Travelers day, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4-5 years of experience with developmental programs.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Proven high degree of accuracy.
  • Well organized.

What is a Must Have?

  • 4 years of professional experience working in Leadership Development or related business experience.
