As a travel dietitian, your job is to travel to areas that need temporary or permanent support from a dietitian to provide your services. In this role, your duties include providing nutrition and food analysis for each client, offering therapeutic counseling for medically high-risk patients, and using electronic charting to keep track of patients. You may also provide alternative dietary suggestions to help manage or treat specific medical conditions. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule and conduct presentations, develop menus, train other medical staff members, and work with outside agencies and care facilities.
