DEPARTMENT:      Finance                                 
REPORTS TO:         JV Controller
CLASSIFICATION:  Exempt 
 
About the role

Responsible for all accounting-related activities, including oversight of its operating budget, financial reporting systems, and managing Finance Team Members.  Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities 

· Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
· Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
· Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
· Provide comprehensive financial updates to management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
· Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Experience
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • 7-12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing methodologies.
  • Experience with inventory control and variance analysis.
  • Understanding of plant-level financial reporting and operational KPIs.
  • Proven budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system experience.
  • Does require some travel

  • Experience in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment.
