Job description

Club Sales Lead

KidsUnited, Lafayette, Colorado

Reports to: Club Assistant General Manager

Compensation: $38,000–$44,000/year with commissions, benefits, and other perks

Schedule: This role may include weekday evenings and weekend mornings hours.

Note: Flexibility and self-motivation are required during our pre-opening operations and membership ramp-up. We have already started marketing and sales operations (and are therefore hiring immediately). We open for classes on Friday, October 23.

We are rapidly expanding our Colorado territory with two additional locations in development and plans for up to six Colorado clubs, meaning there is great room for career advancement and promotion into management for top performers!

We’re seeking a personable, energetic Club Sales Lead to join our vibrant club operations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and personable with a drive for success and opportunity. You have previous sales experience, can demonstrate premium customer service abilities, are out-going, enthusiastic, and have the ambition to grow with a developing brand. As the Club Sales Lead, you will take ownership of 'front of house' duties, spearhead membership growth, and meet and exceed all key performance sales goals. You will work closely with the Club Assistant General Manager, the Club General Manager, and the KidsUnited brand team to execute sales strategies and will eventually help mentor future hourly sales staff.

Applicants should ideally have a passion for working with children, prior membership sales experience, and an outgoing personality to engage with families and children to create an exciting environment and company culture. Previous experience in athletics, coaching, and working with children is a bonus. Fluent Spanish is a significant bonus. This full-time role requires flexibility (including evenings and weekends hours).

Training will be provided in the KidsUnited experience, memberships, additional programs, and sales process. However, you will be expected to jump in with both feet

Compensation & Total Rewards

·   Competitive Pay: $38,000–$44,000/year

·   Uncapped Commissions: Earn $10 for the first 15 closed sales in a month, $15 for the next 15 closed sales, and $20 for every sale closed after that.

·   Ramp-Up Milestone Bonuses: $150 at 100 active members, $200 at 200 members, $350 at 300 members, and $500 at 400 members

·   Profit Sharing*: Eligible for a quarterly discretionary profit-sharing pool after 1 year of service.

·   Comprehensive Health Benefits*: Access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage through our Insperity PEO arrangement (eligible after 6 months of service, once a minimum of 5 employees elect to participate).

Key Responsibilities:

 

·   Drive daily membership sales and act as the primary point of contact for prospective families.

·   Establish and maintain an effective referral program

·   Maintain accurate record using the established KidsUnited CRM system

·   Conduct telephone inquiries, follow-up calls, customer care calls

·   Follow-up and follow through activities with all prospective clients

·   Greet arriving families and children promptly and enthusiastically

·   Processing accurate credit card transactions and follow-up on payment exceptions

·   Selling and occasionally working birthday parties and other special activities and events on weekends

·   Assist the Assistant General Manager in tracking sales metrics and developing new lead-generation strategies

·   Travel to events (such as farmers markets, fairs, expos, sporting events, etc) to promote KidsUnited and sign up new members

·   Travel to and fill in at other Colorado KidsUnited locations within our expanding territory when necessary to support team operations

·   Perform additional administrative and operational duties as required.

 

Experience, Skills, & Traits

·   Previous sales experience, with strong sales and membership knowledge – You know how to sell, engage with prospective customers, and drive revenue.

·   Excellent customer service skills with a customer-obsessed mindset – Creating the exceptional KidsUnited experience

·   Solid verbal and written communication skills required

·   Positive Energy - You set the tone. Your presence brings warmth, enthusiasm, and positivity that uplifts kids, parents, and staff the moment they walk in.

·   Able to multi-task and excel in a busy, dynamic environment

·   Bilingual in Spanish preferred

·   Ability to work and function in a KidsUnited team environment

·   Flexible to work day, evening, and weekend hours as needed

·   Excellent time management and organization skills

·   Experience working with children preferred

·   Willingness to occasionally travel to events and other regional club locations (with reliable transportation for this purpose)

 

Bonus Experience:

·   Soccer background – Any personal or professional experience with soccer is a plus.

·   Coaching or early childhood education – Experience working with kids in a coaching or teaching setting is highly valued, especially with ages 1.5–9.

·   Bilingual in Spanish a plus
