Job Summary:
aaa auto parts Wholesalers are responsible for sourcing and selling quality used auto parts, meeting or exceeding sales goals while delivering a high-level customer service experience. Wholesalers must be adept at analyzing customer needs, actively listening, and effectively managing customer expectations as well as determining what part or parts a customer is in search of toward closing each sale. Wholesalers enter data into Powerlink and determine if parts are available in-stock or can be sourced from our network of recyclers, as well as discussing warranty options. Wholesalers assist customers with payment type and delivery options to complete customer transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Following company policies and procedures as well as safety trainings and protocols
- Being courteous, friendly, and professional in appearance to customers and employees
- Assisting customers with locating quality used parts via inbound calls and other ordering platforms
- Adhering to the attendance policy by being on time to work Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and present for sales team meeting Thursdays at 7:30 am
- Proactively seeking training opportunities through seminars, meetings, and Individual opportunities with the help of the sales manager
- Handling paperwork associated with the wholesale position per the sales manager
- Managing the customer sales experience from start to finish including handling exchange paperwork, warranty resolution (with the support of URG and our in-team warranty manager) and issue resolution associated with faulty or unwanted parts
- Following up on quotes greater than $500 within 3 business days using report provided to wholesale team daily
- Following up on disputes and working to ensure swift resolution and a positive customer experience
- Following up with customers including collection of unpaid COD's, collection of core and defective parts, and anything else the sales manager deems necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Operation of industry specific software and platforms including, but not limited to: Powerlink, www.car-part.com, OPS Trax, APU solution, Parts Trader, Podium and other applicable selling platforms
- Creation of quotes, work orders, and invoices within the Powerlink system
- Selling of extended warranties
- Interpretation and understanding of aaa auto parts delivery schedules, PRP trailer schedules, LTL carrier schedules, and UPS and FedEx schedules
- Interpretation and understanding of aaa auto parts credit policies
- Ability to turn a dissatisfied customer into a loyal customer through active problem resolution
- Brokering parts from other recyclers within our network
- Consistent sales of remanufactured engines, transmissions, and other remanufactured/aftermarket parts
- Guiding the customer to a sales decision
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, associate’s degree or applicable experience required
- Experience with automobiles and knowledge of automobile components
Physical Requirements:
- Capacity to regularly stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and move up to 75 lbs daily
- Ability to consistently climb in and out of a vehicle and lift items
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, reach for parts, lift, talk and listenÂ
Compensation/Benefits:
- The pay for this position is $50,000 - $65,000/year with additional earning potential after moving to the commission-based plan
