Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic and highly skilled trauma team in Jacksonville, FL. As a Trauma Surgeon, you will provide comprehensive care to critically injured patients in a Level I or Level II trauma center, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform life-saving surgical procedures for trauma and emergency cases
  • Provide acute surgical care for critically ill and injured patients
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient management
  • Participate in trauma call coverage and respond to emergency cases promptly
  • Engage in trauma performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs
  • Contribute to resident and medical student education through mentorship and training
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program
  • Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery and/or Surgical Critical Care
  • Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Florida
  • Excellent decision-making, clinical, and communication skills
