Job description

Our organization is in search of a skilled and forward-thinking Trauma Surgeon to take on the role of Medical Director for the Trauma Program at our Level II Trauma Center. This leadership position presents a remarkable chance to become part of a dynamic team committed to enhancing trauma care excellence. It’s a distinctive opportunity to influence and direct the future of trauma services within one of the region's most esteemed healthcare systems.

The Medical Director will collaborate closely with both executive and clinical leaders, including a partnership with the Chair of Surgery, to promote excellence in trauma prevention, acute care, research, and education throughout our hospitals and emergency services network. This role encompasses both administrative and clinical responsibilities, allowing for strategic leadership while actively engaging in trauma surgery practice within our organization.

In this position, the Medical Director will offer clinical and strategic guidance for the expansion and enhancement of the trauma program, ensuring quality, innovation, and teamwork across a community-based academic health system comprising multiple hospitals.

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
  • Experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) is required
