Position Overview

Rising Phoenix Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trauma-Informed Mental Wellness Counselor to join our remote team in Wilsonville, Oregon. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work with clients from the comfort of your home while providing necessary support to individuals dealing with trauma and PTSD. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, demonstrate an advocacy mindset for their clients' needs, and be skilled in trauma-informed care.

About the Organization

Rising Phoenix Counseling Services, LLC is a pioneering telehealth organization, specializing in trauma recovery, and dedicated to aiding individuals in overcoming the challenges posed by traumatic experiences. We strive to create an empowering environment where clients can rise above their circumstances through comprehensive support and therapeutic services. Our team values collaboration, ongoing education, and client-centered practices, ensuring that every individual receives the quality care they deserve.

Work Environment

This role is conducted in a fully remote setting, leveraging telehealth technology to engage with clients. As a member of our team, you will benefit from flexible hours, allowing you to create a schedule that suits both your lifestyle and client needs. While we promote an independent working environment, you will have the full support of our administrative team, including a receptionist and billing services, who manage the logistical aspects of client care, enabling you to focus solely on counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver crisis interventions when required and maintain consistent client sessions to foster therapeutic relationships and continuity of care.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop client-centered treatment plans, and facilitate timely termination sessions as appropriate.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to document client interactions and treatment notes, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with fellow counselors through consultations, supervision, and referrals, cultivating a supportive network for both professionals and clients.
  • Exercise ethical judgment to address safety concerns and make informed decisions with the clients' best interests at heart.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse client base, including adults, children, adolescents, and couples dealing with varying degrees of trauma. Experience in modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) will be beneficial. Our emphasis on trauma-informed care means a significant portion of your work will involve tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of those affected by trauma and PTSD.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field. A Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Oregon is preferred, underscoring your eligibility to practice in this role.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to ethical guidelines and HIPAA standards relevant to mental health practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in trauma-informed counseling and working with clients suffering from PTSD.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic documentation systems.
  • A history of developing therapeutic relationships that foster trust and openness among clients.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, reflective of your skills and experience. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Retirement plan with matching contributions
  • Life and accident insurance
  • Yearly stipends for continuing education units (CEUs) and licensing dues
  • Monthly internet stipend to facilitate remote work
Career Growth Opportunities

At Rising Phoenix Counseling Services, LLC, we are deeply committed to the professional development of our counselors. You will have access to in-house clinical supervision and a range of training opportunities, both internally and from external providers. Participation in consultation groups will enable you to enhance your skills in specific modalities like EMDR, while team-building activities foster collaboration and camaraderie among staff.

Why Join Our Team

We believe in supporting our counselors in developing a case load that resonates with their passions while enabling them to prioritize the counseling experience over administrative tasks. Our dynamic environment fosters a shared mission to help clients overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. At Rising Phoenix Counseling Services, you will not only have the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of others but will also be part of a supportive team environment committed to professional growth and client wellbeing.
