On-Call Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist (Marfa, TX)
Location: Marfa, Texas
Shifts: 12-Hour Day or Night Shifts (as needed/on-call)

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is urgently seeking licensed Behavioral Health Specialists to serve in a critical on-call capacity at DHS processing centers. This high-impact role is for dedicated professionals ready to provide trauma-informed, compassionate care for vulnerable children in federal care along the U.S. Southwest Border. This is a flexible position that allows you to contribute to a powerful, mission-driven cause without a full-time commitment.

Your Mission
As an On-Call Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be a vital part of a core team, stepping in to provide essential support in high-pressure environments. Your work will ensure that children receive timely and compassionate behavioral health care and clinical guidance during their time in custody.

Core Responsibilities

  • Be a Primary Clinical Resource: Serve as the go-to behavioral health point of contact for facility staff.
  • Proactive Well-Being Checks: Conduct rounds to assess the emotional and behavioral well-being of children on-site.
  • Crisis Intervention: Deliver real-time, trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation support when called upon.
  • Collaborative Support: Guide staff on emotional regulation and child-centered behavioral health strategies.
  • Interagency Coordination: Collaborate with CBP, HHS ORR, NGOs, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Influence Decisions: Support complex decisions related to a child's medical, psychological, or developmental needs.
  • Document and Improve: Maintain accurate documentation of all behavioral health encounters and offer input on process improvements to enhance child-centered environments.

Schedule & Shift Details
This on-call position is structured for maximum flexibility, allowing you to answer the call for urgent staffing needs:

  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts, including Day (8:00 AM โ€“ 8:00 PM) or Night (8:00 PM โ€“ 8:00 AM) shifts.
  • Availability: Your on-call rotation may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Urgent Assignments: You will be offered assignments with short notice to meet the evolving needs of the facility.

Requirements
We are seeking skilled and resilient professionals ready for a high-impact, flexible role.

  • Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field.
  • An active, unrestricted license as one of the following:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, with a preference for a background in:
    • Child development.
    • Trauma-informed care.
    • Clinical evaluations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Spanish/English bilingual is a significant advantage (minimum ILR 3/5 or equivalent).
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in dynamic, high-stress, and high-urgency situations.
