Job description

The Family Recovery Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership and supervision to a small, dedicated In-Home Family Recovery (IHFR) team serving families involved with Child Protection. This role oversees two clinicians and one family support specialist delivering trauma-informed, harm-reduction-based in-home services. The supervisor ensures fidelity to the IHFR model, supports high-quality clinical practice, and partners closely with Hennepin County Behavioral Health and community stakeholders to promote family stability, recovery, and safety.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a reflective, collaborative clinician who values mentorship, integrated care, and systems-level partnership.

As the Family Recovery Clinical Supervisor, you will:

Provide strong leadership and reflective clinical supervision to the IHFR team

Facilitate two hours of weekly team supervision and individual supervision as needed

Ensure clinical services align with IHFR model fidelity and trauma-informed best practices

Collaborate closely with Hennepin County Behavioral Health, Child Protection, and community partners

Review referrals, assess eligibility, and manage clinical assignments

Provide direct clinical care during staff absences or client crises when necessary

Co-facilitate Social Club, supporting group engagement and family connection

Maintain oversight of case documentation, assessments, and participate in weekly case consultations

Support staff development around clinical tools, boundaries, crisis response, and ethical practice

Offer training opportunities and foster reflective practice and professional growth

Provide transportation for families as needed to support engagement

Promote a team culture grounded in curiosity, psychological safety, accountability, and trauma-informed care

Required:

Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field

Experience serving individuals with substance use disorders

Knowledge of reflective supervision, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and child development

Strong collaboration skills with county systems and community partners

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks
