Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand the unique trauma histories of patients, which guide the development of effective treatment plans.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma and building effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive and integrated patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring patients receive immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and participation in their treatment.
  • Maintain detailed and organized case documentation that complies with all legal and ethical regulations regarding mental health care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including case consultations to share insights and improve trauma-informed practice.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and evidence-based practices in the realm of trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult and adolescent patients who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes but is not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and other distressing life events. Your expertise and sensitivity in handling complex trauma cases will be essential in guiding these individuals through their recovery journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) within the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong knowledge base of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, reflecting a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems and comfort with digital communication platforms for remote service delivery.
  • A calm demeanor in high-stress situations and a commitment to maintaining professionalism at all times.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
