Work Environment

As a remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from home while engaging in meaningful interactions with clients throughout your scheduled hours. Our team operates in a supportive culture that encourages collaboration and ongoing professional growth. Team meetings and case consultations are conducted virtually, providing a seamless integration of care and allowing you to share valuable insights with your colleagues. Your schedule will generally be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet patient needs when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each clientโ€™s unique trauma history, allowing for tailored treatment planning.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing established methodologies.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group settings.
  • Conduct therapeutic sessions focusing on trauma processing, coping strategy development, and overall mental wellness.
  • Coordinate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care while ensuring comprehensive treatment approaches for patients.
  • Respond to crisis situations with a practiced composure, providing immediate support and intervention to those in trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, helpful coping mechanisms, and resources available for continuous support.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, confidential, and complies with ethical and legal standards.
  • Engage actively in case discussions, team meetings, and continuous education to improve the quality of care we provide.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy, integrating this knowledge to enhance therapeutic approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma and wish to embark on a path to recovery. Our clients may struggle with PTSD, complex trauma, and associated dissociative disorders, requiring a sensitive and informed approach to care. Every action you take is critical in helping these individuals heal, grow, and thrive after trauma.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment practices and resilience-building approaches.
  • Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey empathy and understanding to clients navigating difficult experiences.
  • Capacity to remain calm in high-pressure situations, demonstrating both professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Competence in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other relevant clinical tools.
  • A collaborative spirit, prepared to work as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient success.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, specifically involving trauma-informed care.
  • Experience with specific therapeutic modalities related to trauma recovery.
