Marietta Springs Treatment Center is an outpatient behavioral health treatment provider serving individuals and families in the Marietta community. We provide structured, evidence-informed treatment services while incorporating approved complementary modalities that support overall wellness and recovery.

Position Summary

Marietta Springs Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Counselor to facilitate trauma-focused, experiential, and drama-based group therapy as part of our substance use disorder treatment program. This role delivers clinically appropriate group psychotherapy services within the counselors scope of licensure and in coordination with individualized treatment plans. This is a part-time contractor role providing group therapy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate trauma-focused and experiential group psychotherapy for adults in substance use treatment
  • Utilize evidence-based and clinically accepted trauma-informed approaches, including experiential and drama-based techniques, as appropriate
  • Conduct groups in accordance with individualized treatment plans and clinical programming standards
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed treatment environment
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team, including treatment planning and case coordination
  • Complete all required clinical documentation in compliance with facility policy and regulatory standards
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and clinical boundaries consistent with licensure requirements
  • Adhere to confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical standards of care

All services must remain within the providers training and approved scope.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related mental health field
  • Active, unrestricted Georgia licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Experience providing trauma-focused psychotherapy in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting
  • Training or experience in experiential, psychodrama-informed, or drama-based therapeutic approaches preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, group facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team
