Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Transporter, you will perform those duties directly involved with the transporting of patients via wheelchairs, stretchers and/or beds, to and from the assigned department. Provides general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. Reports to the shift supervisor. Tasks and Responsibilities, you will:

  • Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
  • Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Greets and offers assistance to customers throughout the hospital.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Orients and mentors new staff members.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
