Looking for a Night Router/ Clerk in Miami!!

Overview:

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.

Summary:

Mr. Greens is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Transportation Router/ Clerk. In this position, you will play a vital role in the service function of the company. The position is responsible for resolving escalated driver issues, working with clients and vendors to resolve concerns. Respond to any claims submitted by customers. Analyzing any errors committed and provide feedback for improving procedures in our transportation department.

Accountabilities:

  • Create efficient delivery routes, incorporating travel and service times, DOT restrictions and traffic patterns.
  • Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements.
  • Works with manager to coordinate best routes, while understanding staffing levels and drivers’ capabilities.
  • Maximize truck capacity for most efficient routes
  • Follow up with Drivers to communicate any areas of improvement or concerns regarding routes
  • Ensure timely deliveries to customers with time constraints
  • Coordinate pick up of returns while ensuring efficient routing and safe load transportation.
  • Pull customer orders & transfers efficiently and accurately
  • Assemble orders, transfers in identified lag area making sure they are properly packed and labeled
  • Stack large orders on pallets and secure using stretch wrap
  • Verify that product and product count is accurate
  • Load must be stable & secure to prevent damage and to meet DOT requirements
  • Daily checks on lift truck and battery if directed

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast paced
  • Data entry experience
  • Operate with ownership, be a self-starter, and have a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • Critical analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to change in accordance with the business needs of the company
  • Flexibility to shift schedule and work overtime as needed by the business unit
  • Must bring proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be willing to work night shifts (including Weekends) 7pm to 5am. Schedule may change based on seasonal demands.
  • Experience with routing systems (especially with Omnitracs) is preferred.
  • Days off Sunday and Monday
