We are currently seeking an Assistant Transportation Managerโฏto join our team.โฏThis is a full-time salary position. If you have supervisory and transportation operations experience, work well with a team, and would enjoy working for a mission-driven nonprofit organization, this role is for you.
Position can be based out of our Wilson, NC, Indianapolis, IN, or Bartow, FL office.
As the Assistant Transportation Manager you will assist the Transportation Manager in planning and organizing the daily operations of the Transportation Department by ensuring the implementation of program objectives and department standards. You will support in the areas of hiring, payroll, route-building, and more as needed. You will be tasked to respond to a variety of occurrences such as absent drivers, equipment malfunctions, and other related matters. Additionally, as Assistant to the Manager, you assume responsibility for Transportation operations in their absence.
What makes you qualified:
Preferred: A Bachelorโs degree in business administration or related field and three years increasingly responsible experience in transportation operations including one year in a supervisory capacity. Experience in school district transportation operations is preferred.
Accepted: Associate degree in business administration or a related field and five years increasingly responsible experience in transportation operations including two years in a supervisory capacity to include budgetary oversight. A minimum of 1 yearsโ experience in Fleet Management and technology applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, and analytical software.
Must maintain insurable driving record and insurance on own vehicle as well as a CDL, Class A Commercial Driverโs License with P and S endorsements.
Extensive travel is required.โฏ
