Epic Personnel Partners is hiring a Logistics Accounting Analyst in Irving, TX

Logistics Accounting Analyst: Overseeing financial operations within the logistics department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards by analyzing financial data related to transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Also, optimize cost efficiency and identify areas for improvement for streamlining processes and supporting strategic decision-making in logistics operations.

Salary: $47,500 YR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data related to transportation, warehousing, and inventory management within a cold storage food distribution center.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards in financial operations, including cost tracking and inventory valuation.
  • Collaborate with logistics and accounting teams to reconcile financial records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making in logistics operations.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics costs, including transportation, storage, and handling expenses.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for logistics operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and accounting principles, ideally within logistics or cold storage sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of cold storage logistics operations and associated cost structures gained through hands-on experience.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with diverse teams.
  • Previous experience in accounting or financial analysis roles within logistics or cold storage environments preferred.
