Job description

ANTICIPATED - Director of Transportation

Qualifications:

  • NJ School Transportation Supervisor Certification,
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, plus air brake endorsements,
  • Minimum of five (5) years in the student transportation field either serving in the capacity of Transportation Director or Transportation Supervisor,
  • A thorough knowledge of all laws pertaining directly to Pupil Transportation/Title 39 Motor Vehicle law and specifications pertaining to all types of student transportation vehicles;
  • Thorough knowledge of Division of Transportation Motor Vehicle Inspection laws concerning student transportation vehicles and the New Jersey bid laws for contractual services,
  • Ability to select, train and supervise personnel in the Transportation Department, and
  • Required NJ Criminal History Clearance

This position offers a 12-Month work year and the following:
