Job description

Salary Range : $80,000- $95,000

Position responsibilities: 

  • The Assistant Transportation Manager ensures annual performance goals are met, including on-time dispatches, off-load rate, labor cost and product loss and damage

  • You will ensure a safe working environment by executing company processes successfully 

  • This role assists in developing the daily operating plan to include equipment maintenance and driver work schedules to meet or exceed our customers’ delivery needs as well as promptly solving problems to the maximum satisfaction of our customers 

  • The Assistant Transportation Manager will provide development to supervisory and driver staff, and potentially lead various committees, such as quality and safety 

  • Additionally, you will partner with human resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the year in order to foster a work environment with maximized employee involvement

  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Associate's degree with 3 to 4 plus years of related experience and 0 to 1 plus years of supervisory experience or High School Diploma with 5 plus years of specific experience and 1 to 2 plus years of supervisory experience 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
